what IT girls are wearing this Spring ✿✿

Daylight Savings has officially passed, which means we are that much closer to Summer. More importantly, Spring is rapidly approaching, or shall I say that she is already here! Many trends are being introduced for this season, and some trends are carrying over from last season as well. I’m going to share with you some trends I’ve been noticing for this upcoming Spring season, some of which I may or may not be participating in. In no particular order, here is your guide to what IT girls are wearing this Spring <33.

Shorts {especially jorts} with boots

Lately, I’ve been seeing people pair their favorite pair of shorts with boots, whether that be over-the-knee boots, riding boots, or cowboy boots. I love this trend because it pairs a more masculine piece, like jorts or riding boots, with a traditionally feminine piece, such as micro mini shorts or stiletto boots. I feel it looks effortless and chic, and screams IT girl.

Jerseys

Soccer jerseys, football jerseys, and any sports jersey, if we’re being honest, are being used as a fashion statement this spring. Personally, I am a huge fan of this trend, especially when the jersey is paired with a skirt or micro mini shorts. I think it looks sporty but also fashionable, and adds a certain spice to an outfit.

Micro mini shorts

I have mentioned this clothing item quite a bit in this blog post already, but it deserves its own moment. Micro mini shorts are the IT girl moment right now, and whether you dress them up or down, there is something so chic about them. I’m not sure if I will be partaking in this trend, but I love seeing others rock it!

Boxer Shorts

Boxer shorts are a trend that has been around since last spring, and they are here to stay. We will be seeing a lot of boxer shorts this season, particularly styled with cowboy boots. Boxer shorts give the effortless IT girl, “I woke up like this,” look that is so trendy and cute.

Graphic tops/tees

Graphic tees are trendy again but with a little bit of a twist. This time, more fitted graphic tees are going to be everywhere this Spring. Many of these graphic tees will be baby tees, which have been trending for a couple of seasons now. My favorite variation of this trend is definitely the baby tees.

Bubble skirts

Mini, maxi, or midi, you will be seeing bubble skirts everywhere. Bubble skirts give a playful and feminine look and can be seen paired with boots or tank tops. I don’t know if I will be participating in this trend, but I love seeing how others have styled this piece.

{Striped} Button Ups

A button up is such a classic piece and something everyone should have in their wardrobe. They can be used for layering or can be worn on their own, but I have been loving how button ups look with lace tops or bralettes underneath. As I’ve mentioned, I love mixing masculine and feminine pieces together, and this trend also flawlessly does this.

Cardigans

Cardigans can add so much to an outfit and will be especially popular this Spring. I will show the specific style that is trending, which I personally love and will be styling/have styled this Spring. We will be seeing pops of colors through cardigans a lot this season.

Bows

The coquette style has been trending for a while now and in particular bows are extremely trendy. A bow is a perfect addition to any outfit to add a feminine touch. I love how delicate bows look and I love how people have been adding bows into their hair and tying them onto the bags. Not sure how long bows will be trendy, but I AM HERE FOR IT.

Cheetah/Leopard Print

Animal print has been trending lately, especially with the rise of the mob wife aesthetic. I personally love animal print, especially cheetah print, but I think leopard is just as fabulous. We’ll be seeing a lot of cheetah and leopard print in accessories and statement tops and bottoms. I will be partaking in this trend and will indeed be serving mob wife.

Adidas Shorts

Yes, your adidas gym shorts are now trending again. I love seeing these shorts paired with boots, again following the theme of pairing feminine and masculine pieces together. They’re also super comfy and I cannot argue with that.

Red, Blue, Pink

These are going to be the IT girl colors of the season. We will be seeing these colors a lot in accessories and footwear, which I LOVE. I’m very excited to see more color being incorporated into our wardrobes.
