Everyday,I take pictures of beautiful things I see around me. I smile at strangers laughing and get a warm comforting feeling when I see an old couple walk past hand in hand. I feel immense happiness when I see a dog get overly excited when greeting their owner on the street. I find joy in the trees, freshly bloomed flowers, the smell of the rain, the kisses of the sun. I get excited about learning something new and discovering a new way to do something I’m familiar with. I get ecstatic seeing the seasons change and watching the leaves fall. I love the feeling of hugging the people I love, of feeling their warm embrace. I love the days where my hair falls perfectly and my outfit makes me feel unstoppable. Or the days where I find the best things at the thrift store. I find happiness in the little things around me, the things that can be negligible, but to me mean everything. When I’m having a bad day and I see a family laughing and creating core memories, I cannot help but be filled with love. I cannot help but look at the world with eyes full of love, I cannot help that I am filled with love. Every moment, no matter how small deserves to be celebrated. To some, things like love, security, comfort, and happiness are rare commodities. So, I take every moment in my life that is filled with love, laughter, comfort, successes, and joy as a celebration. I relish in the moments where I am blessed enough to experience the little things in life, to share the relationships that I do. I never forget to show gratitude for the life I was given and be thankful that I get to experience life the way it is now. To experience hot summers and crisp falls. I will never be where I am right now and that deserves celebrating. The little things, the little moments that compile the big moments, they matter. The little things are worth celebrating, in fact it is crucial that they be celebrated. Little moments are compiled to make big moments and how can you appreciate the big moments if you don’t appreciate the little ones? The little things matter.
