My darlings, it seems the Summer season has officially commenced. The weather is now consistent, staying above 70 degrees, which means we can reign in Summer! With the start of a new season comes new trends. While trends are super cool and fun to participate in, there are some Summer classics that never go out of style! In today’s blog post we’ll cover all of the bases: clothing inspo, cute nail ideas, and fun hairstyles to try. If you want to look like an it girl this season, here is the ultimate guide.
CLOTHING
Scarves
Starting off strong with one of the most versatile pieces you can add into your wardrobe this Summer, scarves can be worn in multiple ways. They can be worn as a hair accessory, many variations of a top, and used to further customize bags. Scarves come in so many fun patterns and prints, the possibilities of styling seem endless. Head over to your local thrift store, where you will likely find a gorgeous selection of scarves. My favorite way to participate in this trend is to wear scarves on my head and as tops; again, the possibilities are endless.
Halter Tops
This is one of my favorite trends for this season! It looks flattering on everyone and is the perfect top to show some skin but still feel comfortable. Halters pair well with shorts, skirts, and many more. They typically come in many colors and styles, as there are many versions of a halter top, you just have to find yours ;)).
Crochet
Personally, I think this is one of my favorite summer trends. It typically comes around Summer season after season, and for good reason. This timeless style elevates any outfit. Crochet tops, pants, tote bags, dresses, anything crochet screams Summer. I love this trend specifically because it can be adjusted to anyone’s style and if you cannot crochet yourself, you can support small crochet businesses <33.
Skirts
Skirts never go out of style: mini, midi, or maxi! Skirts are another summer staple that you need in your wardrobe. I personally am a skirt girly, and I prefer maxi skirts, which are super trendy this summer. Skirts are airy, flowy, and so breathable, they are the perfect bottoms for a summer. Skirts also come in so many fits such as body con, peplum, etc… You just need to find which style of skirt you love the most. However, if you are not a skirt girly, I understand, do not fret. This next piece is definitely for you <333.
Boxer Shorts
This trend is carrying over from my Spring It Girl blog post, as it is such a versatile piece. What I like about this piece is that it can be styled with a baggy or super girly fit; it is a versatile piece indeed. It is also a flowy and airy piece, similar to a skirt, so this is the trend for you if you are not a skirt girly. This piece can also be styled with many other pieces on this list :PP.
Sweetheart Tanks
This piece has to be my favorite trend this summer! I think this neckline is so flattering on myself, and everyone. It is the perfect style tank for the Summer. It is feminine, comfortable, and can be paired with anything. My favorite pieces to pair my sweetheart tanks with are maxi skirts, jorts, and capris.
Tube tops:
I recently talked about tube tops in my “may favorites” blog post, This piece is definitely a close second to sweetheart tanks. Tube tops are such a beautiful and fun piece to wear in the Summer. While I prefer a longer tube top (in a Y2K style), I can appreciate a Bando-style tube top. Tube tops are also super comfortable and give the perfect tan lines.
Beaded/Embroidered Bikinis:
This is a trend I am happy to take part in. I love seeing everyone wearing unique bikinis at the beach. Just a gentle reminder that every body is a beach body <33.
Platform Sandals
This is another y2k trend that has come back in style, and thankfully so. All of last summer, I lived in my platform sandals, and I want to see all the baddies in platform sandals this summer! They come in all variations and every single one is iconic!
Graphic tees
Last but not least, graphic tees are still in style from the Spring season. Airy graphic baby tees are going to be a staple this summer, especially with how comfortable they are. Graphic tees also pair well with any outfit and can be styled to suit any style. Cute graphic tees are essential to building cute casual outfits this summer.

NAILS:
This summer, we have quite a bit of nail trends going on. Still trending from last Summer are the hibiscus flower y2k nails and airbrushed nails. Orchid nails are new this Summer and taking over my pinterest. Animal print frenches are also super trendy this summer. Anything 3D has been super trendy, and especially with Summer, sea shell and fruit designs have been popular. Here is some nail inspo <333. HAIR:
Hair is one of the most important part of your outfits. I know the hot weather is Summer makes you want to put less effort into your outfit, so here are some summer hair style ideas to inspire you to change up your hair <333.
