love is a choice.

when you meet someone, your mind and body react

your energies intertwine, your souls get acquainted.

your mind automatically perceives them and you subconsciously decide if you like this person,

you spend more time with them and you ultimately decide if this is someone you want in your life;

it means loving even the things you hate about them, accepting them just as they are.

it means remembering their birthday and the food that makes them feel better on a bad day.

it means choosing to put up with them even when you feel like you’ve had enough.

choosing to show up, today, tomorrow, and forever.

choosing to listen when they feel unheard, caring for them when they need comfort, challenging them to be their best version.

loving someone is a series of choices. At any point, you can choose to stop.

love cannot be created nor destroyed, it lasts forever in the universe. However, time is a construct; love is subjective. Forever can be a day, or until your last breath.

love isn’t picky, it does not discriminate. It is kind, generous, boundless. It is romantic, it is platonic, it is whatever you define it as.
