nothing is set in stone
even when you think you have your whole life mapped out ahead of you, nothing is ever for certain
for as long as i can remember, I’ve ran a strict program: boarding school, college, law school, BAR exam, lawyer.
little did I know that is not how things would play out…
life is unexpected, the uncertainty being the only guarantee.
when we map out our lives and make future plans, we do it with the current and past information at our disposal , we don’t have access to anything else …
sometimes this can make us miss the bigger picture; that we should handle things as they come.
as an over thinker this concept is foreign to me, not having every single step of the way paved and ready for me.
but something i’ve learned is that by only sticking to what we know, it may block an even bigger blessing.
sometimes, the biggest gifts may be a surprise. sometimes they surpass our imagination.
once you accept that our paths are ever evolving and changing, we can handle life as it appears in front of us. All we have to worry about is what is in front of us.
it can be difficult not to surrender to our intrusive thoughts, the one that tell us that we are falling behind or not where we need to be.
this is a construct, it does not exist. Time is an illusion, and all of our times here are meant to serve different purposes; no need for comparison.
living your life, and doing so as the truest version of yourself is the most crucial steps you can take toward your path.
by authentically living, you are willing to accept what is meant for you. Only then will it arrive, just in time.
it may sound weird, a cheesy platitude meant to keep your spirits alive, but what is meant for you will not miss you.
it is true that what is meant for you can change, and that is okay! Change is the constant in this life, so just enjoy the ride!
