For all women of color entering places they’ve never been before:
Stand tall in rooms you were never supposed to step into. Use your voice and be loud and proud of what you offer. Even when people make you feel like an outsider, OWN the room. You deserve to be there.
For all the women of color who doubt their existence:
You are making your ancestors proud, doing things they never got the opportunity to do. You are standing tall and strong, proud of your culture and where you come from. Do not let anyone lead you to believe that your background makes you lesser than. You come from a long line of women who fought for you to be exactly where you are; to be exactly WHO you are. You belong here.
For the women of color who are constantly underestimated:
You are not alone, this is a struggle all women share. We see you, we understand you, and we know what you are capable of. Even when people undermine you, just know that they do not see your magic. But we do. We know that you are full of love, hope, compassion, kindness, knowledge, and strength. Do not show off for them, show UP for yourself. Do your best because it is in you, not because you need to prove yourself; you do not. Just existing as you are is powerful, everything else is just proof of that. You are strong.
For women of color:
You are seen, you are loved, and you are doing great. Hold your head high, you have places to go! You are making your ancestors proud and not a day goes by that your ancestors are not with you, cheering you on. Everything you do is done gracefully and intentionally, you are the definition of perfection.
